Before working in the Creative Pod at Buckeye, Kaylyn had a career in nonprofits. She’s done community outreach with veterans and taught them basic computer skills needed for college success. She’s taught GED classes, planned programs, and worked the circulation desk at local libraries. Most recently, she taught college English and Public Speaking courses to students incarcerated in Northeast Ohio. Her background gives her some insight into our nonprofit clients, and her experience as an English instructor comes in handy on copy writing tasks.

Kaylyn is also the Head Coach of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Speech and Debate Team. She recently received her First Diamond Award from the National Speech and Debate Association, and has coached four State Champions since 2019. Kaylyn specializes in helping people to find and amplify their voices. Whether it’s a business finding their brand identity or a teenager searching for a speech topic, she thinks strategically about how to present information. 

In her spare time, Kaylyn enjoys creating memories with her family, playing Dungeons and Dragons with her friends, and visiting every thrift shop in the greater Cleveland area.
