NEW ALBANY, Ohio (July 14, 2014) – After reviewing 635 submissions from 172 speakers, Buckeye Interactive web developer, Steve Grunwell, and 42 other world-wide speakers were chosen to speak at php[world] in Washington, D.C., November 10-14.
Steve will be giving two presentations – “Keeping WordPress Under [Version] Control with Git” and “WordPress Security Basics.” Just last month Steve spoke at the National Day of Civic Hacking at The White House with a handful of developers from across the country.
“I’m excited and humbled to be speaking alongside some of the greatest developers, leaders, and contributors in the PHP community,” Grunwell said. “This is my largest speaking engagement to-date and I’m thrilled that it happens to be the inaugural conference for php[world], an event that is sure to quickly become the premiere PHP development conference in North America.”
php[world] was designed by php[architect] magazine “to bring the entire world of PHP together in one place, to encourage cross-pollination of ideas and sharing of ideals” between all communities of developers, including Drupal, Joomla!, WordPress, Magento, Laravel, PHP, and more.
“Steve is becoming an accomplished thought leader in the open source developer community, and we are thrilled to have him on our team,” Brad Griffith, President of Buckeye Interactive, said. “His acumen for developing robust yet pragmatic applications is invaluable to our team and our clients.”
