Hi, I’m Sarah Davis— I joined the Buckeye Interactive team as the Interactive Marketing Coordinator in August 2010. I am a new grad of Capital University in Bexley, Ohio and a lover of all things social.
I held several different internships in college, mainly focusing on Public Relations with a strong emphasis on web-focused social marketing. My love for PR & social media hit me hard during my second internship with SBC Advertising, a mid-sized, full service agency in downtown Columbus. There I worked with national clients, like Channellock, Armstrong, and Tyco. I handled media pitching, press releases, and was introduced to the importance of engaging with consumers via social platforms.
My last internship before graduation gave me a ton of hands on experience and was with the Columbus Rotary Club. The Rotary is a great organization and my time spent with the club was very critical in the development of my knowledge and network. At Rotary, I worked closely with the Promotions committee on a variety of projects, including: website/content management, social media implementation, SEO, event planning, and much more.
My blog posts will be focused on what I’ve learned from my experiences and what continues to change in the social world— in the general areas of Public Relations, Social Media, Branding, and Marketing. I’m hoping my posts will provide a fun, easy look into the importance of a world most don’t understand.
I’m a Twitter fanatic— follow me for daily updates!
